Launching Apgio Universal App Localization Made Simple

Today I’m excited to share something I’ve been building: Apgio — now available in free public preview.

Apgio makes it possible to localize and publish your app listings and screenshots for both Google Play and the App Store in minutes, not months.

Why App Localization Matters

It’s no secret: localization is one of the most reliable paths to growth for mobile apps.

But app listing localization — the very thing users see before downloading — has always been daunting:

  • Slow → hundreds of strings and screenshots to manage
  • Expensive → professional translation and design costs add up
  • Tedious → manual uploads and repeated busywork

One person working full-time couldn’t keep up with more than a couple of languages. As a result, most apps launch in a single language and stay there — leaving global growth on the table.

What Apgio Does

Apgio brings app listing localization within reach of every app marketer and developer.

  • 🌍 88 Languages supported out of the box
  • ✍️ Store Text Localization → descriptions, promo text, release notes, and more, all published with a click
  • 📸 Screenshot Localization with Figma → total design freedom, instant previews in any language, full RTL support
  • One-Click Publishing → App Store Connect & Google Play Console, no manual uploads

Apgio’s twin superpowers: Store listings + screenshots localized in all languages supported by Apple and Google.

And to celebrate launch: the first five signups get Apgio free, forever.

The Backstory

Apgio grew out of my work marketing my own language app, Taalia.

  • I needed to scale localization fast.
  • I relied heavily on OpenAI and developed deep specialization at the intersection of AI + global languages.
  • For screenshots, I tried every existing tool, but none handled right-to-left text properly. So I built my own solution in Figma.
  • Finally, I wrestled with the App Store and Google Play APIs, discovering undocumented rate limits and quirky information architectures.

What started as a painful necessity became a powerful system — one that now opens the door for any app to scale globally.

The Technical Challenge

  • AI Translations at Scale → We’ve tuned Apgio’s integration with OpenAI to deliver high-quality, brand-consistent translations.
  • Figma Integration → Deep work on the plugin architecture makes seamless screenshot localization possible.
  • Store API Automation → Apple and Google both “think different,” but Apgio now handles both APIs gracefully at scale.

What’s Next

This is just the beginning. The free public preview is about gathering feedback and helping teams bring their apps to more people, faster. I believe global reach shouldn’t be reserved for big companies with big budgets. With Apgio, any app can go worldwide.

Try It

🙏 Try it, forward it, and send feedback. I’d love to hear how Apgio works for your team.
